How does a person get ‘right’ with God?

How does a person get ‘right’ with God?

This is a good question for all of us to ponder, as who would not want to be ‘right’ with our Creator.

Again, the short answer is YOU CAN’T ever get right with God by yourself. That’s right, YOU can never be so good, never sin, never do everything you can to follow His words perfectly, no matter how hard you try. God, The Father, is perfectly holy and any sign of sin, no matter how small, how large, now or in our past, is not acceptable to Him.

BUT, the most wonderful thing has happened. He loved us so much He provided a Savior, His only Son, for US, you and me. We can never fully understand or comprehend this indescribable love He has for us, but we can experience it. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, lead a perfectly holy sinless life, suffered, was brutally killed and His perfect life was accepted by The Father and He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven with God The Father.

Now God chooses to see us even with all our sins and imperfections through Christ and we through faith in Christ are now   ‘…right with God’.  This faith is called Salvation, saved from being slaves to sin and from eternity in hell. However, there is only ONE requirement for this great gift to us. Each and everyone of us MUST trust in His promises and accept Jesus personally as their Savior. God does not save mankind by groups or churches or religions but by each person individually. All other religions require man to do something to ‘get right’ with their god(s) which unfortunately only leads them to a ‘DEAD’ end. Christianity is the only faith where God came down to man to offer free eternal life with Him.

This indescribable offer is open to everyone who seeks it. You have the freewill to put your trust and faith and yield your life to Him or not. Nothing else is needed. It’s that simple. Just invite Him in. A new joy-filled life here on earth and then eternity in Heaven is the gift God offers.

So, now comes the most important question and decision you will ever make in your entire life. Will YOU place your faith and life in Christ and receive that great free gift? Now is the moment of decision. Chose wisely as your eternity hangs in the balance.

Why do some Bible reports about Jesus contradict others?

Why do some Bible reports about Jesus contradict others?

Many people have wondered about this and the short answer is YES, there are many differently described and worded reports of the same event by several different individuals, but upon examination, there are NO and I mean NO contradictions.

Many of the events such as the crucifixion, His appearances after His Resurrection, His birth, etc., are very complex and involved many different people at different viewing points.

The writers of all were eyewitnesses to each and had to know Jesus personally which was a requirement to be included in scripture. Hence, each was written from his own perspective. Just as witnesses today, say to a small event as a car accident, each will report what thev’e seen quite differently.

God promised and fulfilled that promise that each writer would be filled with the Holy Spirit and be able to recall and write all about what Jesus said and did perfectly.

And, when each of the descriptions written are examined , they tie together for a perfect report on the entire event without any contradiction whatsoever. God’s Word is without error because He inspired it. (2 Tim 3:16)

WOW  God is sure great isn’t He? Do you know Him? You can as He will reveal Himself to those that diligently seek Him. The choice is yours.

Is Jesus Really Coming Again?

Is Jesus Really Coming Again?

The Bible tells us that Jesus is actually coming again on two occasions.  The reason Jesus is coming again on the first occasion is to ‘take up from the earth’ those who believe in Him, both the living and the dead,  to be with Him forever. 0nly true believers will see Him at this event. This is the Hope of every Christian. The rest of the world will wonder what happened to all these people. Two of the Bible verses that describe this are:
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air……to be with the Lord forever.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18) (Note: Jesus does not set His foot on the earth in this event)

I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.” (Luke 17:34-35)

This first event will occur either shortly before the beginning of the Tribulation, or sometime during the Tribulation. The timing is a mystery as only God knows the day and hour for it to happen. The Tribulation is  a future period of seven years of suffering and persecution, especially for the Jews, during which God will pour out His wrath on all the other unbelieving nations of the world. (See Matthew 24 for the signs of the times for the Tribulation to commence.)

The reason Jesus is coming again for the last time, which is called the Second Coming of Christ, is to fulfill His promises, to defeat Satan and his army in the battle of Armageddon, and to rule the earth for one thousand years, called The Millennium.  Here Jesus comes to the earth and stays for a thousand years.   In Acts 1:10-11 the Bible states:

They were looking intently up into the sky as He was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.  Men of Galilee, they said, why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven.’”

This second and final return of Jesus will occur at the end of the Tribulation. Are you reconciled with God through faith in Jesus Christ so you will not be ‘Left Behind’ to experience God’s wrath and condemnation? You must be ready today because Jesus will come at an hour when you do not expect Him. No one knows if they will have tomorrow just like those on the Amtrak train wreck in Tacoma who perished unexpectedly.
