How does a person get ‘right’ with God?

When you recognize that one day you will stand before God and have to answer for the life you have lived, you will have to know the answer to this question. Ironically, you can’t get right with God by yourself. He set out standards that are so high that that no man has ever been able to perfectly live up to those standards.

God, The Father, is perfectly holy and any sign of sin, no matter how small or large, now or in our past, is unacceptable to Him.

Fortunately for us, God loved us so much He provided a Savior, His only Son to pay the penalty for our sins, thereby providing a way for us get right with God. We can never fully understand or comprehend this indescribable love He has for us, but we can experience it. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, lead a perfectly holy sinless life, suffered, was brutally killed, was buried, rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven to be with God the father. There, he said, he has prepared a place for all who believe in him, repent of their sinful ways, and invite him to be the lord of their lives.

Each and everyone of us MUST trust in His promises and accept Jesus personally as their Savior. God does not save mankind by groups or churches or religions but by each person individually. All other religions require man to do something to ‘get right’ with their god(s) which unfortunately only leads them to a ‘DEAD’ end. Christianity is the only faith where God came down to man to offer free eternal life with Him.

This indescribable offer is open to everyone who seeks it. You have the free will to put your trust and faith and yield your life to Him or not. Nothing else is needed. It’s that simple. Just invite Him in. A new joy-filled life here on earth and then eternity in Heaven is the gift God offers.

So, now comes the most important question and decision you will ever make in your entire life. Will you place your faith and life in Christ and receive that great free gift? Now is the moment of decision. Now is the time to get right with God. Chose wisely as your eternity hangs in the balance. If you would like to make that decision, we encourage you to read our post: How Can I Become a Christian?
